Trio consists of erhu (Keiko Sugihara), The Chinese flute (Yayoi Okuda) and piano (Kaori Tai).
The unit pursues the borderless music that challenges the genre of the music, not just the traditional Chinese music. The integration of the sounds of different instruments and the techniques would deliver you the special musical experience.
Oriental Wind
Flowers Will Bloom
The unit is the combination of erhu (Keiko Sugihara) and contrabass (Naomi Nakamura). SiSi stands for ʻtwo stringsʼ in Mandarin Chinese and it was chosen for the name of this unit since there are 2 string-instrument-players. The repertoire is broad that does not just focus on the Chinese music.
This unit is the joint ensemble of the Wenshao erhu ensemble and the Yueshao erhu ensemble. Wenshao was established in 2003 and merged with the Yueshao in 2019. This unit is for amateur erhu players who are fascinated to improve their erhu performance or those who want to participate in events, volunteers and recitals. If you are willing to be the part of this ensemble, please contact us. Regular repertoires are Flowers Will Bloom, Homeland, Dance of the Golden Snake and martial arts.
